“A fantastic experience”
4 of 5 starsReviewed November 24, 2012
Like other reviews here I had some conflict between having the experience of interacting with a tiger and the conditions that they may have been kept in. I found the price fairly cheap - about the cost of going to a movie in Australia, so no issues with that. The park looked fairly clean. The tigers I saw all looked healthy and in good condition, however, some were in small cages. Whether these are just day cages or not, I don't know, but there were larger grassed enclosures with tigers inside. I paid to be with a large cat, which was about 18 months old. The attendants try to get a good photo for you, but this means trying to make a nocturnal animal stay alert. I did not see any attended poke or hit a tiger, but they did slap the ground close by with a palm frond. They also suggested that I lie on it and pick up its tail, both of which I declined, just happy to be patting it. I didn't see the point of possibly making it more uncomfortable by putting my weight on it or playing with the tail. The 'great' photo shot wasn't important. As an experience, seeing the animals healthy and hopefully saving these magnificent animals from the medicine cabinet/dinner table, was a '5'. However, the small cages were a disappointment.
