We visited Chiang Mai recently with another family and were looking for a fun day out. The females of our group decided they would love to visit the Long Neck Ladies"( a tribe up in the hills somewhere) and various markets and villages along the way, keeping with their holiday theme of "too much shopping is never enough" The lads, although keen to carry bags around the streets for another day thought they might opt for something a little more upbeat and consulted our driver for other options. He kindly mentioned that on the way to the hills, perhaps the boys would like to try the X- Centre Extreme Sports for a different kind of adrenalin rush than the fairer types enjoyed. What a great idea it turned out to be! The two Dads and three boys (11,11 &13) had one of the best days of our holiday as it turned out. Drift cars around a purpose built fully roofed track were an absolute blast with the two younger boys picking it up instantly. Full safety gear and instruction was given, an area I was mightily impressed with all day, no matter what the activity. Onto Bungy jumping and wow...how good was that! Again, full safety standards applied and very friendly staff. Both 11 year olds did a jump and absolutely loved it and will have that memory forever! The centre has a great bar and restaurant attached and we all enjoyed a great lunch with the Dads having a couple of quiet ones while the boys raced off to Paint Ball. They also offer a Zorb ball activity and there's motorbikes and dirt carts etc available too. What a neat place. Run by a lovely New Zealand guy( we were lucky enough to meet him & have a chat) We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the X-Centre. When we finally sat down to take the days activities in and peruse photos ,up pulled the van of girls. They had a pleasant time apparently and had various bags of dubious quality nik naks in their possession. The boys though had an absolute blast. We all walked away so happy, laughing and reliving moments together. Treasured memories from our family holiday to Chiang Mai. Thanks for a top day team. Recommend it to everyone, yes even girls. There's heaps of markets but only one X-Centre :-)
