I can understand how one could think the tigers are drugged. In the heat of the day these cats nap, all babies sleep alot. I was there midday in August and petted many sleepy tigers. Then we got a sudden rain shower and the whole atmosphere changed. Tigers of all ages started running and playing. These cats love the the cooling water. Sure the younger ones were uncoordinated that is part of their charm. I found the staff to be consistantly kind to the animals, well informed and willing to answer all my questions about where the cats came from and where they go after they ageout. Most of the animals are no more than 2yrs old. After having been brought up with the typical circus tiger experience it was a joy to see these animals just being the creatures they were meant to be rather than being trained to exhibit unnatural behavior for our amusement. I have no problem paying to be so close to such magnificent creatures that were living in clean enclosures and appeared well fed as well as totally comfortable with humans. It has been my experience that animals that are not well treated by people want to have very little to do with them. The animals I encountered seemed to enjoy being with people. I highly reccommend this attraction.
