If you want to have the opportunity to pet tigers and be close to them then this is the place to go to. Unlike many of the other tiger experiences in Thailand the animals are not drugged here. They have tigers in different sizes/ages from cubs to the big cats that are about 12-14 months old. There are different packages that allow you contact with the different sized tigers. Although no matter which package you choose, you can see all the tigers from outside the cages. Some people will complain and say it is cruelty to the animals and they should not be held captive but it seems that all the animals are well taken care of here. There are a few older tigers here but they are only used for breeding and cannot be used for the tiger experiences due to their unpredictability. None of the tigers that are part of the tiger experience are older than a year and a half for this reason. Once the tigers reach this age/size they are unpredictable and much more dangerous in human contact. I asked one of the trainers what they do with the tigers once they reach that age. I didn't get an answer, i'm not sure if he didn't understand what I was asking or didn't know the answer. I would guess they sell the animals, they wouldn't be able to release them into the wild after being raised by humans. Anyway I think that tiger kingdom was a great place and was not cruel to the animals.
