“ where to buy thai silk fabric? ”

I am Interested in buying some real thai silk fabric to get made into bathrobe, PJ's for myself & gifts.
Any reccomendations on wher to get a good price on the fabric as may have the items made in Phuket where I have more time to tailor them.

But how anout in samui?
Does anyone offer bathrobes and ot pajams's in real silk premaid or must you go to tailor?

I don't really see it much on Samui, and if I see - it's about 3 times the price...Chaweng has "House of Silk" shop, you can check there...Everything what is offered in Chaweng market and on the beach is not silk, it's poliester.

Hi, Isan region in Thailand is known for its silk production and offers good options for purchasing silk at a very reasonable rate. Alternatively, you can also purchase online from some reputed website.

JIm Thompson makes some of the best Thai silk, and they have stores at Suriwong Road (near Rama 4 Road), and at the Jim Thompson House. Another excellent label is Shinawatra Silk.

"Shinawatra Silk" - never herad of it - is it for real??
In Maenam there is "Thai Silk" - a shop with a good reputation - but no clue about prices.

yes..Shinawatra silk is real is very big silk factory for both whole sale and retails in Chiengmai and if you wish they offer in house tailors as well.
