Location - Within walking distance to riverside restaurants, and over the bridge to the Night Bazaar. 20-minute drive to San Kampang (silk and other products), 45-minute drive to the elephant farms and Tiger Kingdom.
Grounds - are well cared for, orginal old trees have been preserved. Impressive non-chorinated swimming pool next to a grand plant wall that shields the area for privacy. The rooms are within 2-storey houses. The central building with the 137 original pillars preserve the original wood features with complimentary new modern additions.
Rooms - are well thought out in design with great attention for details. There is a handy torch (flashlight) on a bedside table, small thing that impresses.
Staffs - are always there to help with the Thai smiles and manners.
Summary - It shows that the people behind this boutique hotel have thought about the important things and little things that are missing in other hotels, both in the service and architecture/decorations. In my view, it fully deserves the five-star rating and people should come and enjoy this wonderfully-run and pleasant-to-the-eyes place.
