Reviewed November 5, 2011
Warm welcome by beauties in traditional Thai costume. Tram ride educating about the Valuable stones and it’s journey till the Dazzling jewelry. See pieces of jewelry taking shape before your eyes. Certified items without Tax. Wide choice of designs and rates to fit budget minded shoppers. Lounge with free choice of drinks. Must see and shop.
I bought silver ring with Amethyst. Made perfect fitting adjustments while cool off enjoying drinks. My wife was happy to find Diamond ring along with matching ear rings. Very nice and must visit once while in Pattaya.

“Gem Factory, Pattaya”

Almost everyone in Pattaya will try to get you to the Gem Factory. The taxi guys will offer to take you there free of charge. I think they get the fare from the guys at the Gem Factory. All guided tours also include this in their itinerary. You are given a ride in a toy train that takes you through the history of gems. It is a nice experience. Then when you are done someone will escort you into their showroom. I wonder if anyone leaves without a purchase. They are persuasive. To be honest, even though the designs are beautiful, one generally does not come to Thailand ( at least I didn't) with the intention of buying gems. But if you can walk out without a purchase you have to be immune to their sales talk. So a word of caution, if you do not want your wallet to be lighter, avoid the tour or be very frank with them. After Pattaya we went to Bangkok, and they have a Gem Factory there too without the train ride. We told them we had been to their Pattaya showroom, and they smiled and asked us our experience and before you realise it you have been escorted inside and there you go once again.... lighter by some 1000 B that is if you are lucky. It could be worse.

“Great Customer Service and Jewellery”

My Partner and i visited in June 2009 and were picked up from our hotel. As others have said, we went through the history of mining gems on a toy train which we felt was quite novel and added to the whole experience. We too were ushered to the shop where there was a beautiful array of jewellery and obviously, (quite naturally) i found myself at the diamond rings.
Unique designs at reasonable prices was what was on offer and all beautifully sparkling. totally irrisistable. We didnt go to Thailand to buy an engagement ring but the possibility looked more probable as we viewed these rings.
We did manage to leave the shop without a purchase but the prospect of owing one of those magnificent rigs hauted me for a full 24hrs. it didnt help much when our salesperson contactd us at the hotel to ask us what our decision was.
My other half and I chewed over the facts and decided it was something we wanted to do. we would indeed purchase our rings. we managed to go to another Gem factory based in Pattaya to make a comparison. But unfortunately they were unable to meet our requirements.
Our initial budget in the UK was £6000 and we found a beautiful ring with the most clear diamonds for a fraction of the cost. Today i am sporting a stunning high quality diamond ring which continually sparkles in the hint of any lighting.
For us it was well worth the visit, an opportunity to barter hard (They need the money, it low season) and acquire an lifetime item of quality.

I totally agree to the previous reviews. They have huge collection of gold, gems and pearls jewellery's. You can not escape without buying as the designs available are exclusive. Guided mini train tour was also very good and only one its kind, I enjoyed it.

“Gems Factory, Pattaya”

The Gems factory in pattaya is a must visit if you ever go to Pattaya, Thailand. They have a free hotel to gallery transfer and return facility as well.
The entry is free and no charge unlike most of the places of tourists attractions in thailand. When you reach there, you will be given a very warm and cofortable welcome. After that, you will be seated in a toy train and a simulation journey for the entire evolution is demonstrated while you remain seated in the toy train. This is extremely enjoyable, where you see how does a gem you wear in your rings or necklace is extracted.
Then you reach at their workshop where you can see workers creating masterpiece jewelry.
Once this is done, you enter their showroom which has 2 sections, Gems and Gold, and other one is Pearl section.
The gold jewelry is mind blowing - I personally have never seen the designs they had anywhere else in the world. Be careful as you might get tempeted to buy one for yourselves or loved ones. The price is OK and I wouldn't say it is very high after seeing the designs they had. The pearl jewelry is also awesome, and very affordable, i bought a necklace for my wife.
Many of our friends who thought that they would buy all these in Bangkok when they visit the gems gallery there, were disappointed as the designs which you see in Pattaya is far more attractive and new than the ones in bangkok.
After that, you will reach a rest zone, where you can have drinks (soft)/cofee or mocktails of your choice for free again. The overall experience my wife and I had was simply awesome. Full points!
Phototgraphy inside the factory and gallery is restricted, as they are afraid of their designs getting pirated.

“Забавно”
Reviewed November 28, 2011
