The dining out group converged on a Burmese restaurant called “Swan Burmese Cuisine. I don’t think they’re used to a large group as the service was very slow but it was worth the wait as the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It was a very nice evening. Fourteen people attended.

We called in just for a drink but the menu had an interesting selection of food on offer so we decided to order the Mediterranean Platter. After about 10 minutes we were escorted to our table. The platter was extensive with home-made Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Frittata, Salads, Olives etc. In all there were about 10 dishes all very tasty and excellent value at 179 baht per head. We then sat at the bar over a glass of Italian house wine finishing off a very enjoyable evening. Recommended.

A very charming and beautifully decorated restaurant which I highly recommend. My dining partner raved about her fresh pasta so much that we went again the following weekend so I could try it myself. Wonderful pasta and the sauce was light and delicate...very nice! We enjoyed talking to the chef who dropped by our table to check that everything was satisfactory, can't remember his name but he was fromEngland and had spent a number of years living in France. Great service, friendly staff, and excellent food.
It is safe to say that Pern's just went to the top of our favorite Chiang Mai restaurants. Highly recommended.

As a lover of mediterranean food, I was keen to try out this new restaurant and was certainly not disappointed. The ambience was excellent and the staff and owner friendly and attentive. The menu has great choice and we both enjoyed all the dishes served. Well worth the trip.

Directions: From Kad Suan Kaew go west towards the mountain (Doi Suthep) about two city blocks until you see a Shell Gas Station. Pern Restaurant is directly across the street on Huay Kaew Road next door to Salsa Kitchen.
