Chiang Mai Night Safari
One of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's projects, the slick Night Safari has obviously had a lot of money spent on it. It's caused much controversy throughout its creation - primary of which is its location on 1.3 million sq km of Doi Suthep National Park land, and the consequential (and as yet unassessed) environmental impact it may have.http://www.chiangmainightsafari.com
 Chiang Mai Elephant Rides
Elephant Rides Many tour companies in Chiang Mai offer elephant rides alone or as part of a larger package. If you're uncomfortable seeing trainers throw rocks at the disobedient ones or guide them by hitting their heads with pointed barbs, you'd probably prefer the Elephant Nature Park. The Park is a sanctuary for abused animals, and while you can't ride the elephants, you can spend a day or a few days bathing and feeding them. The Park's founder was named an Asian Hero by Time Magazine in 2005 for her work to save these giant and friendly creatures. Information and tour arrangements can be found online.

 Chiang Mai Zoo
Chiang Mai Zoo was established by the The Zoological Park Organization, Thailand in 1974. Situated on 531 Rai of verdant forest land at the foothill of Doi Suthep mountain, the zoo is surrounded by hilly terrain which is home to thousands of species of wild plants and flowers adorning the natural landscape of valleys, streams and waterfalls.

Chiang Mai Zoo is the first and only zoo in Northern Thailand where visitors can experience the excitement and intimacy of various species of animals in their natural habitat.
Chiang Mai Zoo will be wonderful all year round by growing many kinds of flowers , especially to express Lanna tradition. Chiang Mai Zoo will grow a variety of orchids Rhododendrons and many rare flowers  that you can not find easily elsewhere.
Located next to Huai Kaew Arboretum. It is a well-managed large zoo, which occupies the lower forested slopes of Doi Suthep Mountain. The zoo contains more than 2,000 types of amimals. The most popular star here is three pandas, Chuang Chuang, Lin Hui and Lin Ping, the friendship Chinese ambassador.

Snow Dome
The newly-opened Snow Dome is the latest attraction at Chiang Mai Zoo. When chilled water sprayed from a nozzle comes into contact with the very low temperature inside the Snow Dome (which can be set as low as –5 degrees centigrade), small particles of ice and snowflakes form and fall to the ground as snow.  The Snow Dome includes a snow terrace, a huge slide, and a viewing platform. Visitors can make their own Snowman or snow sculpture, or simply frolic in the snow. Families and friends can engage in snowball fights or experience the thrill of riding down a huge slide on a donut ski.
