Reviews of Washington DC Day Trip from New York
Washington DC Day Trip from New York
Beginning in New York, your tour will begin with a stop to Madame Tussauds for a photo with President Barack Obama and a visit to a replica of the Oval Office. Heading south, you will pass through the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland before arriving at Capitol Hill. Here, you'll see the Capitol, Senate and White House, the core of the US government. Your tour of Washington DC continues to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum before visiting the Washington, Lincoln, Vietnam and Korea memorials...Read More!
You get to see all the main sights in the capital. Unfortunately there were street blockages outside the White House so we were only able to view it from the back. They are also doing alot of excavation and remodelling of the big lake (the one you see in Forrest Gump) between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. That was definitely a disappointment. We would like to have been able to go to the Smithsonium Museum of Natural History rather than the Air and Space Museum. It's a long day with lots of time on the road but well worth the effort.
