If you happen to be in Chiang Mai, spare some time to visit the Tiger Kingdom. You get to go into the tiger cage, pat the tigers, lie on them, and take photos of them. Very seldom you will be able to find a place like this that allows you to have close contact with tigers that are 3 months, 6, months, and 16 month old tigers. Before I visited this place I was actually scared for my safety since tigers are fierce animals after all. In terms of safety precautions, you do not have to worry about it at all. They will not allow too many people to go into the cages at once and every group will have an assistant. When it is about time they will tell you it is time to leave the cage but you get to spend quite some time with the tigers. Although the tigers are in cages, the environment in the cages are natural environment with trees, pool for them to bathe etc. The cages are so clean and the tigers are fed 7 chickens 2 times a day.

When you first enter the tiger kingdom, you will have to choose the types of tigers that you want to see from the smallest to the biggest tiger. Although the entrance fee can be quite expensive, it is worth it.
