We have visited this restaurant when staying in Chiang Mai on a previous holiday some years ago and remembered how good it was at that time. Therefore, we thought we'd re-visit it to see if it was as good as we remembered - it was!
It isn't cheap (c.£200 GBP for 2 including wines & transport) but, as the saying goes, 'you get what you pay for' and this was one meal we were happy to pay a little extra for as a special treat on our holiday.
Firstly, the restaurant will pick you up and return you to your hotel free of charge (provided you are staying in Chiang Mai of course!) which means we could leave the hire car at the hotel and not have to worry about driving back.
When you arrive (booking in advance is recommended) the welcome is warm and friendly. The restaurant is situated in its own grounds and exudes luxury; you feel pampered from the start.
Our table was in the conservatory area which, even in the evening, gives it a lovely ambience.
The menu is, as would be expected, French in style and extensive. The wine list is mind blowing considering you are in the north of Thailand, a country not known for its extensive vineyards!
The food was excellent, the service very attentive without being overbearing and the whole dining experience one to remember.
If you are visiting Chiang Mai and want to treat yourselves then this is the place to go to. Superb!

Outstanding French cuisine that is served with an obseqiousness that is impressive. A little hard to find, so take a tuk-tuk or taxi. Nice dress-up evening, but can be attended a little less formally.
