This is such a cool place to enjoy the elephant ride and the animals in their own natural habitat! Not only are you having a great experience, but also you are contributing to a great cause to save the elephants. The elephant ride allows you to enjoy an up close and personal encounter with the animal in a humane way! Go do it! Last visted the place on October 17, 2005 AKPL

Been there twice and I'd go again!

It is off in the mountains near Chiang Mai. You can ride the elephants, see an elephant show, and watch the elephants paint different pictures which you can buy. The employees are really nice, too.

Love the Elephants
I loved the elephant show. We were there in May. The elephants seem to love their bath in the creek before the show. Then they love to show off during the elephant show. They are talented, cute, fun-loving and amazing. I took home a piece of art work one of the elephants drew for me. Lovely. It's the best elephant show I've ever seen and we saw other shows in other parts of Thailand. The Mahauts grow up with their elephant from boyhood and there is a noticeable bond of affection between elephant and Mahaut (trainor).
