Visit the Tiger Kingdom when in Chiang Mai if you possibly can. It's about 30 mins out of Chiang Mai. You can just look at the Tigers from a verandah, or pay for the fun of getting into the enclosures. You should get in! You can chose which age group you want to experience or pay a bit more and try them all. As I am a 'chicken', I chose the smallest cubs, about 8 to 10 weeks old. wow. wow. You have to do it. My partner, who is marginally braver than me, chose the age group above. These cubs where approx 6 to 8 months old and the difference in their size compared to the little ones was amazing. Give it a go. These tigers are not drugged, they are wild animals but all have been bred and raised with masses of human contact. Let's face it, they are too well fed to bother with sweaty tourists.
