I am still slightly unsure as to what I think about Tiger Kingdom.
Our guide suggested we pay a visit and at first we were very reluctant. In the end we gave in and, yes, we have a load of absolutely amazing pictures with both the smallest and biggest tigers.
It is questionable whether the best place for these wild animals is what is essentially a petting zoo. At the same time, it would probably be near impossible for them to survive in the wild in Thailand, especially since they are so used to captivity. They appear to be treated well at Tiger Kingdom, even though, as previous reviewers have said, they most likely don’t get as much sleep as they should during the day. I don’t think the tigers are drugged and, overall, it is a pretty unique experience to be sitting next to one!
The on-site restaurant is pretty average, nothing to write home about.
